The Lymphoma - Leukemia Society

In Memory of Charles Mitch IV

Charlie joined the Army and served 4 years during the Bush administration.  He is currently inactive for 4 years until 2008.  Once Charlies 4 years active were up, he was stationed in Fort Lewis in Washington state.  Charlie then continued his education at Bates Technical Institue for web page designing.  Charlie was considering rejoining the service this past summer.

Charlie had a surgical biopsy and was diagnosed on August 21, 2007 with Acute Mylegenous Leukemia and started chemo immediately.  He was hospitalized for approximately a month, then released for a few weeks, went back in for a second chemo treatment, then released from the hospital again.

Charlie must undergo 5 chemo treatments and a blood stem cell transplant.  He is registered with the National Registry Donor List in hopes of finding a match.  There is a 40% chance that he may find one.  Charlie has a long and rocky road ahead of him, but remains positive and determined to beat this disease.  Charlie supported our country,  please help support Charlie during this difficult time.

PLEASE KEEP CHARLIE IN YOUR PRAYERS!!!
